Quran in the Homes

The Quran is one of the most important books that can be found in one’s home and there is no disagreeing to the fact under any circumstances. Not only does the Quran give us a sense of safety it is also the blessing of Allah upon us 24 hours a day. However, that is not to say that the Quran can protect us if we just keep it in the house lying closed. To get the complete level of benefit from the Quran, we must ensure that we not only open it regularly but also read it with complete faith and conviction.

The Quran is like the jewel in the house of the Muslims, a jewel such that will take you to heaven if you nurture it, learn from it and honour it properly. There is no book in the world that can be as precious as the Quran because these are the words of Allah, those golden words that can lead you to success if you follow them and if you don’t follow them can lead you to failure.

Allah has promised those who have the Quran and recite it regularly, the heavens. There was a tradition of the Holy Prophet about the recitation of the Quran in homes, both by the young and the old alike, “Indeed the home in which the Quran is recited shines to people of the Heavens just as the stars shine to people of the earth” – Sahih Hadith.

So just as we look up at the stars and feel awed by their shine, so does the Quran shine our hearts when we keep it in our homes and takes us to Jannah. And that’s the greatest reward of keeping the Quran in your homes and reciting it.  Not to mention how the Quran guides us in our everyday life, has ten times the reward for each letter of it uttered and blesses your life like nothing else. We must begin with reciting and trying to memorize the Quran at an early age and also teach it to your children. So make sure you not only have the word of Allah with you 24/7 but also read it, take guidance from it and USE it in your everyday lives. The home is where the heart is, and the heart is where Quran is. Make sure you make full use of it.
