The most important part of Islam after tawheed (belief in oneness of Allah) and risalat (messengership) is salah (it is regular or ritual prayer). Too much emphasis is placed on salah so that it should be observed dutifully.

The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that Allah says, "I have prescribed for your ummah as absolute obligatory duty. And I have bound Myself that everyone who offers these five prayers at their proper time, it is my responsibility to admit him to paradise. As for one who does not observe them, I have no responsibility for them".  (Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud)

Allah helps through Salah

Observing salah regularly gets one deliverance in the hereafter. But, even in this world many benefits accrue because of it. Anxiety is removed, peace and comfort are received. Allah has commanded that help should be south for every consequential task through salah.

{And seek (Allah) help in perseverance and salah. And surely this is hard except for the humble} (2:45)

Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (RA) narrated that, "whenever the Prophet (PBUH) faced a serious affair, he turned post-haste to salah". (Musnad Ahmed, Abu Dawud)
